About Skyside
Skyside Studios is a pioneer in 'green' millwork solutions for home and commercial construction. We use computer-controlled technology and rapidly renewable and recycled materials as well as certified virgin wood sources. Our materials include biofiber, Dakota burl wood (recycled sunflower seeds and husk), FSC certified lumber and ply products, wheat and 3-form hemp board, kirei (pressed plant stalks),plyboo (cross-laminated bamboo), and PaperStone. We are committed to healthy and sustainable design and applications, with environmental and social justice in mind.
Our line of architectural furniture has been featured in Dwell, Architectural Digest, grist.org, treehugger.com and a number of other publications. Some of our custom furniture has been produced in collaboration with famed architect Eugene Tsui and can be found in his latest book, The Urgency of Change.
Our furniture is made simply using some of the highest environmental standards available, from using water-based finishes, to zero waste planning and processes, and eliminating emissions during production.
